The iLevel is an intelligent submersible water level sensor that provides accurate, long term data without the need for vented cable. It has been designed and constructed for use in harsh outdoor and industrial environments and is compact, cost effective and easily configured. This new product is the result of a joint venture between iQuest (NZ) Ltd and Hydrological Services Pty Ltd (Aust).
By integrating barometric pressure compensation with the level reading from the absolute submersible level sensor, the need for a separate barometric pressure measurement system and the subsequent corrective data processing is eliminated. The main advantage of employing an absolute, (fully sealed) submersible pressure sensor is lower maintenance and higher reliability compared to a vented sensor, as water intrusion and moisture collection in the venting tube is eliminated.
